He wants to race and now that Heidfeld got the Williams' second seat, he might be heading to Champcar.

    What he said....
"I don't want to test another season, I want to race. "I want to race where I can win races and go for the championship and Champcar would be ideal at the moment. We are talking with several teams and I'm going to test for a Champcar team in the next few days. One of the teams that we're talking to is Newman Haas."

What do you think? Is he making a mistake leaving F1?

Tough call. If Pizzonia goes to Champ cars that's the end of his F1 career. Look at Bourdais, he's done great in Champ cars and no F1 prospects at least for the near future. But if Pizzonia sticks to F1 he can potentially become a perennial test driver just like Alex Wurz.
He was so close yet so far from that Williams drive.

He needs a little patience. My impression was NH didn't have a firm grasp on the drive and if he didn't deliver he would be out.

Heidfeld had too much going for him. Heidfeld was german and is just beginning to mature as a reliable racer. Pizzonia really would not have been able to compete with Webber too much. Heidfeld on the other hand is going to put an end to all this Webber fever thats been going around.

Pizzonia should mov on to something else. I think this chance at Williams was as good as it gets for him in F1. He may get a chance to come back in the future with Toyota, Sauber or BAR.
