    no fog but low clouds(marine layer). people heard engine cutting out then engine rev’d then a splash.

    Barons are nice planes when properly maintained. Spent many hours traveling around California in one in the '80's.

    I have a few hundred hours in Barons... great airplanes, really nice to fly. The avionics in this one looked pretty old (at least based on what I could find on the internet), and can be a handful if something goes wrong, plus being at night, low weather, etc.
