I'm looking into aftermarket rims online and was wondering where does everyone shop? I was looking at those ebay ones by highline or somthing like that, but it seems these are low quality. There are these 19's for 500 bucks... and was thinkin on getting them. only thing i need to know if i do...which i am still debating...what size tires do i need. 19's are kinda big so am i looking of a side wall around 30? cuz that will be a harsh ride. should i go w/ 18's max? i want it to look good but also not sacrifice performance and ride quality...=)

The suggestion regarding wheels may differ depending on what your intended uses are. For example, if you want to mount track tires (competition DOT or slicks), then 19" tires of these types are currently either hard to find or rather expensive. I've heard elsewhere on this forum that more 19" competition rubber is coming available this Spring, so it may just be a cost issue in a few months. Ideally the lower profile is better for track, though the benefits diminish as you go down in profile. For street use, the lower the profile, the more risk you may have of suffering pothole damage.

For what it's worth, just today I received a new set of Kinesis wheels that I plan to use for track use on my 360:

    Kinesis K18R < http://www.kinesismotorsport.com/K18R.htm >

The rears are a surprising 7lbs lighter than the Ferrari/BBS modular wheels. The fronts are a more modest 4lbs lighter each. This savings is in spite of them being wider sizes than the OEM wheels (still 18" diameter though). It will be several weeks before I get tires mounted on these rims, but I'm pretty excited about them so far.

I also have a set of 18" SAC wheels that I like but are OEM 360 sizes. You can see pics of them at:

    or at their website at:

One last suggestion; tirerack.com lists some wheel choices specific for Ferrari.

Hope this helps. Which model Ferrari are you wanting rims for?

    Lou,

Nice rims and excellent choice! i went with http://www.kinesismotorsport.com/K27.htm and VERY glad i did.

DLuxxx: HRE seems to be for, well, those who value looks over 'true' ability. Looked long and hard concerning rims and decided on Kinesis. They are light yet very durable and many of the race Porsche guys, and they are a VERY picky bunch, use Kinesis. Lou pretty much summed it up with lighter weight as well because lowering unsprung weight is a VERY good thing. The rims i went with are 17-inch and ther is A LOT of rubber choices.
