I am on behalf of a small group of Ferrari owners in my country checking out the possibilities of attending the different Cavallino Classic events in 2012. I would be pleased to get some info on preferably where to stay,"do`s and dont`s" and so forth. Do we need tickets for the pit areas, evening gathering and concourse course? What is a must to attend and if there is anything else besides C.C that is worth looking into while staying in the USA; if possible trackday with a Challenge 360/ 430 etc...
Thanks for needed info and helping us making another dream come true.

As the previous poster said, not sure what your interests are.

I can't comment on the Palm Beach International raceway and the Cavallino Classic, but all the tracks I've been to, have been open to spectators. The schedule lists Wed and Thurs as private test days, so it may be closed on those days.

_All_ aspects of the Classic itself are registration-required. Search for the 2011 itinerary/registration sheet on the web, and you'll get an idea what will happen this year.

If bringing cars (or not), drive down to the Keys. The start is about 4 hours south of Palm Beach. Then the keys themselves are 4-6 hours long (I believe): the vast majority of that is bridges!

You can also rent Ferraris, Lambos and Mazzers from several places in and around miami.

If you can, try and stay at The Breakers. That's where all the action is for Cavallino.
The best track day will be on Friday and the concours on Saturday.

Thanx for the info. Will do some more searching also. Trying to get ultimate Cavallino experience when we eventually arrive, since we have to travel half way around the world to get there.

The Breakers might be fully occupied and is rather expensive. there is only little accomodation in Palm Beach, so try one of the many Hotels in West Palm Beach. Most of them are only some minutes ride to the breakers and about half an hour to the racetrack.
dont miss the races and the concorso of course.
You can buy tickets for each event separately and once you are in everything is very open. no restricted areas maybe except the evening events.
i have been there 3 times - its worth the way!

...and not to forget: even the parking lot at the breakers looks like a concours field! walk around there more than once a day and you will find some rare and great Ferrari.

... and dont try to park anywhere around the Breakers - its impossible. the valet parking at the Breakers is the way to go.

    Andrew,
Why won't you go to the show's website to find answers to your questions instead of continuing to post them here on FChat?? See post #4 for the website address. Thanks!
