Anyone every heard of these people? I have had my Scud up for sale now for awhile and I got a call from them yesterday. They call themselves "asset managers" and what they do is lease out your car. The people that get the car are called "users" . The users send payments to you or your financial insitution. However, you still own the car and all the liabilities that go with it. They sent me a contract that covers most (but not all) of the possible open wounds. It generally would work if everyone plaed nice but we all know how that works.

I am not going to do this but I wondered if anyone else has delt with this company. I cannot find anything on the web about them other than their own site.

Perhaps. Biggest problem is though the "user" is required to have insurance and turn the car in to leasing agent if it lapses or expires, something could happen in the interm. Other issues are over miles (you are leasing) are delt with after tha fact. "User" is to maintain the car but where (Johns's auto shop and burgers?).

It could be that there are companies that get cars this way and use them for track time for tourist (Come out to the Speedway and for $400.00 get five laps in an exotic, or some other scam) and run the hell out of them with no maintenance then dump them back to the owner or leasing Company.

Could be but I doubt it. They seem to be looking to sub lease cars that are owned or financed meaning they are using our exercised credit to lease cars to those who have bad or no credit. Check their web site. It states you do not have to have good credit. I believe it is a scam, but again, I am not in a position to say for sure.

If your car is financed or leased you probably can't do that. Also your primary insurance coverage would probably be void. Penso que devi essere pazzo per farlo.
