Im thinking of selling my first collector Ferrari. Marco Piehl did the restoration with Tom Shaughnessy's assistance.

Frame off restoration, and $36,000 Vintage Specialist Ferrari dealer engine rebuild.

    Platinum winner Monerey.

Thoughts on price? PM or say it public or [email protected] or 5193184242.

    Thank you all! f40carlo

There is a proper classifieds section for this kind of posting. I suggest you go there, as this thread won't remain here for long.

Am I incorrect in my understanding that a forum is to discuss and obtain the opinions of others? You police too harshly.

$250-325K, depending on any number of issues. Assuming your description is correct, Hagerty thinks closer to the $325K number. I have to confess I have not followed this market closely for some time. I'm using the Hagerty valuation chart, which is sometimes shaky at best, due to low volumes of sales to establish price points.

Still bummed out I passed on one of these about 10 years ago for <$40K.

I am biased in that I am also selling a 330 GT 2+2. A series 1 just passed at Aspen for $210 with commission. Two series 2 were sold in Monterey - one for $275 with commission the other for $730k with commission. I think a Platinum winner should garner mid 300s.

Why the wild variation? What was so special about the $730K car?

Two guys - one auction - both wanted the car - by far the highest a 330 GT has been sold for publicly

But by so much !!! Seems crazy that two guys can get carried away like that, but I guess the red mist came down . . . !!! Perhaps they would like to bid for my Dino and then I would be able to afford a GT and a GTS :)
