My car club here outside DC has two documentaries on the Players run. Look for the Mischief series by Techademics. Michief Destroy is probably the best out of the lot with Mischief 3000 (about the Gumball 3000) being second.

Dustin and Dado (BMW M3) are friends of mine and they did a good deal with the tape. Has a little bit of an Jap tuner car slant to it, but the coverage of the Player's Run is really good.

Wish I could afford to go.

I understand that you have to drive pretty fast to make it to the stops where all the fun happens and have enough time to actually enjoy. Also, the parties are great and go well into the night. How do you stay up all night and then drive at sustained speeds over 100mph for hours? Apparently, many drivers are foreign and carry lots of cash to buy their way out of legal problems that happen along the way. They don't care about reckless driving convictions or even points, as there is no reciprocity. Folks from the States have to worry about losing their licenses and end up trying to run with those that don't care. Sort of a problem, IMHO.
