Playstation 3 or X box ?

I keep on hearing how great the PS3 is with the F1 game but the Xbox is a much more sofisticated and better gaming system. Any truth to this? Any recomendations? I plan to get one to kill the time whenever F-chat is down.

Not right now, but eventually, gaming companies will be able to unlock the full potential of the PS3's hardware, when that happens, its gonna be unbeatable. Right now, nobody has the resources to do this and thats why the Xbox 360 looks like a good choice. I'd say get the PS3 and wait it out. Besides, there's no Gran Turismo on 360

 

you can't go wrong with the old school n64, i just can't get into games anymore like i used to, but i did come close to buying a ps2 on black friday. it's just that i can barely find the time for them anymore, but it's amazing looking at how much the graphics have improved over the last 5-7 years.

 

One thing that REALLY pisses me off is I can not play my close friends on the X-box 360. I can play on-line and all that but there are so many compatability issues with NAT settings etc etc and its just awful. Cant private chat, cant invite them to games etc etc.

I reckon i will just have the same problems with the PS3.

I own a 360 and have played a PS3 on MANY occasions.

For racing i have to give the title to the 360. Forza/Forza2 and PGR3 are just to awesome.

 

PS3. There is no other.

With that in mind, does anyone have one they would like to trade for some goods? I have all kinda crap I don't need.

 

Do you prefer the hand controls or do you use the streering wheel add ons for the driving games?

 

Steering wheel is the only way to go! Can't wait for Forza 2 to finally come out.

I just sold my XBOX360 and I will be getting a PS3 in few months when more games comes out.

 

XBOX.

PS3 will take a while to sort out the online, and the 360 is great with live.

XBOX + Forza 2 = Perfect Happiness.

If you want to play online, 360 for sure. SP can go either way.

Online is far superior in terms of useability.

Forza 2 > GT5

Not to mention GTR is coming for 360.


Note that any game that comes out for both the 360 and the PS3 will 99% of the time be written for the 360 and ported to the PS3.

Right now XBOX360 is way to go... BUT in the long run PS3 will be better system. And if you can only get one, get the PS3. If you can buy XBOX360 and PS3, then more power to you. Oh, and Wii is also a great choice.

 

I remember it was rumoured to come out on some day in December. Needless to say, my friend and I waited up until 4 in the morning for it...and we got disappointed...

 

XBox 360 is the way to go. I have a family member who works for one of the major game developers. He/she knows what is happening currently and what's coming in the future. That's all I'm allowed to comment on. You'll be happy with the XBox.

 

Unless you are just talking about the online portion, thats a negative. GT5 > F2

 

I am personally going to buy a PS3 over a 360. I enjoy playing games for the PS3 much more than 360 games (although I still believe Forza is more fun than GT) I grew up playing Final Fantasy and other games made on the Playstation, as well as being able to play games the PS3 has a larger hard drive so I can watch movies on it and has a blu ray drive which will save me some $$$.

Probably yes if you are only interested in gaming, I think the PS3 has much more potential as an entertainment console.

The Wii is definitely a fun console and I considered buying one but honestly I don't think I would use it much. I would much rather sit down on my bed and play a game than swing around the controller. It is a very fun console but I think it is more geared towards a younger customer base.

 

I personally would go with the PS3, its better for the long run.
While 360 might be good for the short run.

 

+1 for the 360.. but I'm a PGR3 junkie..
