    I just got word that a student of mine was killed in a car wreak last night.

    She was driving south on a 4-lane divided highway during a rainstorm when a northbound driver hydroplaned, lost it, crossed the median strip, and slid sideways into the southbound lane, where the student hit him head on.

    Both drivers died.

    Sorry to hear that. My condolences.

    A car lost it right in front of me this morning on my way to work. It was raining, he hydroplaned and over-corrected. He smacked the median pretty hard but was OK, and fortunately missed hitting my car.

    Be alert and safe this holiday season.

    My condoleances to you and her family. Must be awful, esp in this time of reuiniting.

    I was thinking this morning while driving to work in the rain and getting passed by all kind of cars ( i was going the speed limit ) that most wouldnt know what to do at the very begining of sliding..
