I couldn't care less what people do with their cars. My philosophy is if you're not paying the bills, its of no concern to you or me what they do with their cars.

 

Good for you. I'm also a driver. But, please understand some like to zig, some like to zag, and some like to zig zag. If someone parks their Ferrari in a garage because they're afraid of the financial cost of driving it, so be it. Just enjoy your car.

 

Lately I've been putting around 200 weekend miles on my 348. If it breaks, I'll fix it. Its not a GTO so I don't fret over the miles/usage..

 

Yeah, please do that so poor schmucks like me can get massive discounts

Before I owned a supercar, I used to think the same way. But try as I might, with two of them, 500-1,000 miles a year on each is just as much opportunity as I can get to do Point A to Point A drives.

And now maybe less if I buy a Jeep Wrangler as a DD with the innovative one touch roof thingy. Even thinking about getting it in a MT.

But I still cringe when I see 500 mile Ford GTs still wrapped in plastic go up for auction.

People need to stop being concerned about what other people do with their cars. Why would anyone care?

I have a feeling I know why some people advocate this, but I have no proof, its just a gut feeling, so I leave it out of my comments. Why anyone would care what another person does with their car is beyond me and the way I think.

 

Well a few months ago I bought a 2013 california 30HS For the purpose of driving it everyday rain or shine ……
The car sound great this is the last of the NA Flat plane V8s ….the car sounds great and is easy and fun to DD….

All I want to do is have the car in my garage perfectly shiny without a drop of dirt on it so I can tell people "I HAVE A FERRARI!". I can't afford it when it breaks so it helps that I don't drive it... but that doesn't stop me from telling everyone that I have a Ferrari!

I did the same 7 months ago. I picked up a Porto and use it as my DD and couldn’t be happier. Beats the heck out of my SL 63 that I traded.

 

I like to pretend I'm nasty rich and mileage doesn't bother me. I have a Pagani Huayra I use as a daily driver and a Ferrari F60 I use as a weekend car. /s

 

I have a GTC4Lusso, my first, and also my only Ferrari. Bought it in February 2022, and I have driven it every day, put ~1200miles on it so far since I got it. I bought it with the plan on using it every day, which I will, except in the snow. It is fully PPF'ed so the rain doesn't bother me. I have a Panamera too, but I DD the Ferrari and I couldn't be happier.

 

I'm saving mine for the next owner.

 

I'm doing the same with my girlfriend.

 

This is a well timed thread. I just realized I hadn’t driven my Ferrari in a month.

To be honest I have too many cars and not enough places to drive them to.

I do plan on putting 400 to 500 miles next weekend on the Ferrari next week.

The more they are driven..the less time they spend in the shop..equals less work I gotta do..and more simple maintenance stuff..which makes my life easier..
