    OK, I heards different stories. Will Bengie Molina get a share of the GIANTS winnings and a ring cause he was a Giant a few months back? How does all this workout?

    I "heard" that he gets a ring either way. Which seems reasonable as he did play ~40 games for "my" World Champion Giants [It's got a nice ring to to it :)]

    As to bonus money, I have no idea but suspect there's some kind of formula in place (?)

    Bonus money is usually at the discretion of the players currently on the roster - they can vote to give him a share. Unlikely they will vote him a share in this case since he's getting a loser check anyway.

    Usually the players that are entitled to a bonus check will vote amongst themselves as to whether to divide up the bonus pool by a larger number of players. This happens if someone was a significant contributor and is no longer with the club or entitled to their own check for some reason.

    In 2004 when the Red Sox won the World Series they voted to give Nomar a cut even though he had been gone since the trading deadline and was a PIA his last few weeks in Boston.
