Last 355 on BAT with similar mileage and service history sold for 71k. So a 56% pricing premium ???

    Makes no sense.

Agreed. If that’s the case it would be very compelling to list my 355.

Agree with that too. When you have a good original, non molested no story, it’s impossible to part with.

I dunno, it’s the nicest one I can recall seeing.
    I wouldn’t pay that much for a 355.
But then, if it meets the buyers desired specs, and he’s got the money, why not?

because thst 355' had magical properties thst doubled your member lenghh if you own it or perhaps some jusy have more money than sense.

one possibility someone makes 50k a week and thst someone decided they want a 355 cause they saw one, logged on to bat and bid till reserve was hit even though the buyer did not want to sell just generate traffic? Just spit balling here no need to correct me.

sometimes its just timing like the 25k 348 I suppose. will be interisting to see if this is s blip or the start of a price revaluation.

    carry on...

I paid $68k and just spent $16k more. Engine out, valve guides replaced and new Tubi headers. Total of $84k in car. Work was done by Wade Williams. I plan on keeping mine. Picking it up Thursday.

That car is FAR from one of the nicest sold in the last year. That's just how auctions go.

Or an episode of mania. Buyer bought two cars on BAT at the same time. And a third car in the last week, I have heard.

An honest congrats to the buyer and letting him enjoy his new baby . I know I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy mine over the last 15 years.

    No WTF?

Fair deal for both the buyer and seller IMHO. I sold a 1998 355 F1 GTS for quite a bit more than that last year.

Well sorted, low mileage examples of the late 355s are getting top dollar. They aren't offered on eBay or BaT very often. YMMV

All ferraris and lambos before 2000 need 30k. Just a matter of what you are willing to live with. I just bought a very good condition 98 e36 m3 and im 25k into that on top of the car.

What does this mean? A clean low mile 355 is 100k all day. A not clean low mile 355 is 75k
