I second that. Its a car, made out of metal!! Makes me laugh when people talk about not driving in the rain.

Drive it in the rain! and switch off the traction ;-)

ok, but it will STILL hold better resale than porsche, % wise of course, not absolute $ amount lost since ferrari cost a lot more than porsche.

After several weeks of researching the 360 Berlinetta and with the boards help I have determined the following:

-My 360 will depreciate almost $10,000 per year if I do not drive it at all.

-It will cost me about $1.00 per mile there after per year.

-The 6 speed standard looks better and seems to be more reliable.

-Challenge grills f/r are a must have option.

-Regularly driving the car will greatly extend the timing belt life.

-Proper purchasing and servicing will yield a reliable car.

-To maintain value, the car must sit in my garage.

-This car is not an "investment" as most of us know.

-www.exoticwarranty.com will more than likely NOT pay any claims.

-Ferrari's PowerCube warranty is not worth the money.

-These cars are more reliable than people give them credit for.

-Rosso Fiorano/Beige is my favorite color combo.

-If I get into even a small insurable accident it will cost me DEARLY.

    -Buy from a dealer.

-Still don't know what the stock stereo is!

    my conclusion,
The 360 still takes my breath away evertime I see one in print or upclose. I think it is a rolling piece of artwork that is MEANT to be driven hard and put away wet. It is only metal, plastic, etc.... It is built to be enjoyed with the knowledge and undertanding that (in my eyes) the cost will never surpass the enjoyment.

    thanks to a great board,

    David

Buy the car, take it to the track, drive in the rain, take your dog along, and don't worry about the depreciation...it's friggen' car, it WILL depreciate...and with newer Ferraris, depreciate "like a rock". No big deal. All will be forgotten when you are speeding around with your dog, smile on your face, having the greatest thrill in the world!

Who ever thinks Ferraris must be kept in the garage, rarely driven except for "special occaisions" is mistaken. The are cars, special yes, but expected to be driven, no museum peices....

Good show Willis!! I know you drive your car often, and hard, they way Enzo intended!

Ah grasshopper, you learn very quickly! ;)

Get the car, start having fun! But dicker like hell with the dealer! :)

The stock stereo is Becker. Serviceable but nothing to write home about. I've turned it on 3 times, at the most, since taking delivery of my car back in 2001. I prefer the music from the engine compartment. :)
