Hi guys, new member here. I am a muscle car era American car enthusiast. I buy out a lot of parts collections and I just recently came across this hood in the rafters of an old body shop. Someone had it marked "marzerati" (haha!) but I think it is Ferrari due to the scoop design and scoop trim. It is aluminum and is insulated underneath. What's throwing me off is the pointed rear corners. If I am way off base just let me know and I am sorry for wasting everyone's time.

Hood scoop looks weird but it could be from a 60's Maserati Sebring or Quattroporte....

It looks like a Caroz. Pininfarina creation to me. You will see that same profile of the bulge and the bezel, and the screen on Ferrari's PF coupe.

Did you find numbers stamped anywhere?
    Inner frame, etc.

Marcel is the expert but I would think in the absence of stamped numbers (which would be a pininfarina job number), you can rule out Pininfarina as the maker.

The hood scoop says Lancia Flaminia PF Coupe but the rear edge implies that hood extends all the way to the windshield. Also the hood in question has flush hemmed edge rather than the down standing flange of the Lancia hood. This is a head scratcher.

I'm no expert but maybe giving the dimensions could help the experts out?

Yes I saw that. Also probably not that early. But both have the chrome leading edge.

It kinda looks like a Maserati Sebring series II.
