    Hi all,
My shop manual (88 TR) does not contain this information, neither did a thread search here, so here goes:

I need to remove the fuel system drain plug to replace the washer with a goal of repairing a very small fuel leak which has been isolated to the drain itself. Because I am working with aluminum I don't want to over-apply tightening torque. All sorts of recommended forces are listed for the other components of the fuel system but not for this little plug. I believe that this would apply to other Ferrari models as well.

    Would someone mind helping? Thanks:)

There isn't a published torque spec for most fasteners on the car. You are asking about one of those.

I remember a Repair Manual for a 1930's Rolls Royce that had no torque specs per se, it rather specified that the engine must be assembled by a certified "feeler" that would "know" when the right tension was achieved.

PAP348 is correct, nice and firm. After you've tightened a million of them (and stripped a few) you can "feel" if it's tight enough. ;)

    Thank you.

Thank you. I am planning on using some teflon tape around the threads and a Stat-O-Seal for good measure.

Teflon tape is for tapered pipe threads.
