Hi everyone, Ive been looking into a new camera for a while now. I have pretty much narrowed down my search to either the Nikon D40X or the Sigma DP1. The DP1 seems like an awesome camera with DSLR sensors in a Small-body. The D40X sounds great also. Please, if anyone has any advice or input on any either the D40X or DP1 please help me. This camera situation is driving me nuts! Thanks again! --Chris
Get a regular Nikon D40 and save yourself some money, the D40 is actually better than the D40x because of the flash sync speed. The only better thing about the D40x is the megapixels which honestly don't matter, I have made poster size prints with my D40 and they look great. This is a great link. http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/recommended-cameras.htm
I had also considered the Canon Rebel XTi, is there a camera thats like a DSLR but is small and can fit it my pocket besides the DP1? I DO NOT want a large bulky camera..I know that sounds ridiculous, but once again any help and information is greatly appreciated! Thanks again, --Chris
Ive said it before but I have a canon s5 is. It wont fit in your pocket but for the price its a great camera. I think you can get one for 250 now I paid I think 400 for mine and it was a great camera for that price.
Does anyone know anything on the Canon Power Shot G9? Right now its either going to be the D40 or G9. The DP1 is out of the question.. Any info or help? Thanks again guys, --Chris
I fully understand that. I am considering the G9 or the D40. Can someone tell me the difference between the G9 and G10? Which would be the better buy? Thanks, --Chris
