    Can anyone tell me where i can get the foam that covers the air intake flexy hoses for the airfilter box and oil cooler, or an equivalent product.1989 328gts

    I know you are in the UK but there must be a hardware store, or a building material store where you can go find a heating ducting material section where they have "foam tape."

    The mercedes stuff may work but the foam tape allows you to conform to the weird shape of the air duct very easily. I notice that someone else before you already attempted the duct tape fix so ... you are on the same path.

    They changed the design on the 328 in 1989 to the foam type for some reason, possibly weight. I ended up getting the air induction tube from Ricambi. Does not have the foam but I guess it will have to do you can't get the original.

    Guys thanks very much for your help and ideas, I am currently talking to a foam provider in the UK about a possible replacement, they said they will send a sample for me to look at.
    Fingers crossed++++. I will let you all know how i get on.

    Is this the intake piece that is now offered in stainless or carbon fiber???

    Maybe go with one of those options.
    They look real nice!

    It's the 2 air intake ducts that supply the oil cooler and airfilter housing. The one i think you are talking of is for the plenum.
