    There seems to be wide and varied opinion on what compression readings should be for various engines at different mileages. Seems like it would be valuable to see what others have seen on their engines. If possible include: type of engine, mileage, and results (either of each cylinder, or the range). Leakdown info would be cool to have, too.

    190-200 on freshly rebuilt engine

    120 - 130 with BAD piston rings

    My '82 Euro 308 GTS QV @ 36,600 miles: 180-185 Engine cold, plugs out. Cranked over several times for each. cyl.

    1 @ 175, 2 @180, 4 @ 185 & 1 @ 190

    83 QV - 165 all cylinders - engine warm, all spark plugs out - 70,000+ miles showing on OD.

    Me and a friend who has a car the same year car as mine, just pulled a plug on each of our cars and we both tested 120. (both cars warm not hot, with no battery charger) with only one plug out, how much difference would it make if we had pulled all plugs so it would spin more freely ??
