    I purchased my car about 20 years ago, and it came with this plug-in light. It occurred to me that I have never seen another one on anyone else's car. Was this original equipment on boxers, or is this an after-market item? The light is branded Ferrari. My car is an 83. Image Unavailable, Please Login

    I got one with my 1983 308 GTS Qv. I've now seen two, so they appear to be pretty uncommon.

    Except every Ferrari from about 1974 for 25 years originally shipped with one...........

    And in that period they made about 100 000 cars !

    Interesting. I've been in many judged shows, and no judge has ever asked about it. They look at everything else.

    My 1986 328 GTS came with one. My 1990 Testarossa shows it in the parts manual and should have come with one, although it was not present when I bought the car.

    Seems to be a regular occurance (especially for off-shore cars), that they are stripped of tool kits, manuals, .........
