While installing new plug wires on my Mondial I was "lucky" enough to have darn near every one of them break. Apparently the heat cycles coupled with age is rough for them. I am going to order new ones but none of the holes are clear, they all have part of stand off still in there. Any suggestions to get them out? I am considering drilling them out but don't know if that's the best idea.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

They broke where? What are you trying to drill out?

The small round pin on the bottom of the stand off that connects them to the engine is broken off flush so that the hole is occupied with plastic.

    Fairly common problem...

If you have the vavle covers off the car, you could drill the remaining plastic pins out.
If they're still on the car, or perhaps an easier way, would be to drill a small pilot hose in the remaining plastic nubb..and then use a very small "Eazy-Out" screw-type extractor. Sometime the nubbs break up into little pieces, other times they'll walk right out. Patience is your best buddy here.
