The water pressure in the master shower is weak. The faucets in the sinks and tub are fine. The rest of the house is fine. The pressure is only weak in the master shower. Any suggestions?

is the shower head connected well/properly? if it's loose, that could be the cause. i also agree with bruce on the holes as well, turn it on, and try to look and see if there are any holes where water isn't coming out.

Thanks guys. I'm on city water. I'll pull the shower head to see if it is clogged?

ALSO, YOUR RESINATOR ON YOUR HEAD IS STILL IN

I PULLED MINE OUT AND I HAD 50% BETTER FLOW

CHECK THE HEAD FIRST AND SEE IF WATER IS COMING OUT FROM ALL PIN LIKE HOLES..

    GOOD LUCK

Did this problem just start or has it always been this way?

I pulled the shower head and it was completely clogged with debris. The house is only 2 years old and I was surprised to find this much debris in the head.

Get a water softener system or your whole plumbing system is going to have problems like this :) It also saves money on detergents/soap/shampoos etc as you don't need as much.

    Hi Jeff,

I am a contractor, do a lot of plumbing and electrical stuff, mostly remodels. If the house is 2 years old and you are on city water, a softener isn't going to do anything unless the city has water with really high mineral content.

The debris could have been let loose by work near your house or residual crud from construction, that finally drifted into the shower head. Just for fun, try unscrewing the "aerators" from your faucets. I bet you will find "stuff" in there too. Clean them out and reinstall. If the problem repeats, it might be time to install a simple in line water filter, just after the water shut off by the front of the house.

On older houses with galvanized plumbing we often see contamination and "brown" water after replacing plumbing bits - rust just gets knocked loose and goes downstream.

Pm me if you would like to talk about it.

    happy to help,
    chris

Agree, we/I do assisted living/adult foster care.

As such we buy and remodel homes for ADA access/et al...

Most if not all of the newer shower heads and faucets have a filter which is easly clogged buy the tiniest of particles and can severly disrupt the water flow.

If all your other fixtures are fine, then it comes down to that one particular outlet and the first thing to look at is the filter right at the source.

They used to call it a water saver, but I call it a PIA =)
