These 2 gentleman are designers for McLaren. Met them at cars and coffee at Naples Motorsport. Very cool guys and they loved my car, it was quite an honor having the 2 top McLaren designers looking at my work. Fabbed up these adjustable rear sway bar end links I had the rod ends from previous projects and was looking under the car retorquing the transmission lines and saw the end links so figured i would use my spare stuff on something. Coned washers coming out of the machine shop Fri. the seat is coned for the bushings. The coned washers are going to make it flat for the new mounts. My old man has 3 lifts so Mon or Tues I am hijacking one!!! Got the correct fittings for the transmission temp gauge sensor. Stacking copper adapters wasn't ever an option I just had to find what i needed so I can wire up that transmission temp gauge right.

Transmission temp gauge good to go. Unfortunately the sway bar end links need a jam nut and a shorter bolt for the top mount. Couldn't get it up in the control arm. Too wide. Disappointing but the angle washers were spot on. Bottom mount was perfect. Rev.02 coming up!!!

Thank you! I haven't dynoed it yet but throwing a 75 shot of nitrous on when I do the intake swap. I am hoping for 310-15 at the tires all motor and maybe a little north on 350 on the bottle. The car is super light too. This intake I believe will change her behavior quite a bit. Have an extra set of valve covers getting polished. I also have an interface plug that will let me turn off EGR. That's the only issue I see as of yet.

Valve covers back on the 27th. I have some machine work to do on the manifold for some vac ports. I am gonna mock everything up and then disassemble and do what's needed as far as machine work. I plan on re-making some of the factory brackets and wrapping the wire management sleeves in carbon fiber prob gonna wrap the rad support in carbon as well. Did some research on that interface I have and will be able to take care of any issues that pop up in the computer. Hoods coming off later tonight.

I never did a motor swap because everyone talked so much trash about this set up so I wanted to make it work with what was there. I shed a ton of weight off her and am expecting north of 300 horse at the wheels when she's done. Not a huge number but from what is WAS and for what it IS not bad. It's still a Prowler drivetrain. The issue i am going to hit is the transmission, it really is what holds the car back. The engine really isn't that bad with a little work. The HEMI swap guys can't smash the throttle without shattering the internals of the transmission so what's the use? There's a hellcat swap one around with a Currie fabbed 9" center section, a TH400 and 930 axles. I personally would build an old school Rod with that setup. 600 horse CTS-V would annihilate the transmission I'm sure as well.

    No major hurdles.
    Adapter for evap vacuum line.
Clock the throttle plate and swap linkage.
Machine and install fitting on rear of intake for brake booster.
Make wiring harness adapters for 2 sensors
I have to fab up a block off plate for the EGR and ditch the cruise control (i never use it anyway) by then my valve covers should be back and I can get it all set up and cruise. Nothing catastrophic to stop me from making this work.

Couldn’t sleep last night. Everything is sorted, taps, drills , fittings and hose on order. I am going to start looking for the ends for the plugs and make the harnesses next week. No reason I shouldn’t be able to hit the key late next week. I am going to wait for the polished valve covers to lock everything down. I am fabricating a replacement alternator bracket for the rear. That big black bracket hanging off the back of the alternator is blocking the view of my headers. I don’t think that carbon fiber cover is going back on. The linkage is beautiful.

Tap, drill ,fitting and hose in for the brake booster. Mounting brackets for the back of the alternator 1/2 way there. Have to figure out the length, cut and tap the other end yet. Tomorrow morning I'll pull it all apart and do the necessary machine work on the intake and finish up the alternator support bracket as well.

Came down with the Flu. Not much going on this week I’m in bed. I laid out the EGR block off plate and removed the catch can because it is going to be installed differently for this setup. I’m digging around in the internet trying to find plug ends for the harnesses. Way too foggy for wrenching.

Alternator support complete (now you can see those headers) and the catch can to the brake booster are 1/2 way there. Some clamps and stainless hose straps and an inline PCV are coming tomorrow. Using the straps to secure it to the firewall right at that stud. The other end of that "T" goes into the back of the manifold. Chuggin away!! No idea why that one pic wont post straight!?!?!?! sorry

Evap all set, catch can plumbed with the correct hoses, PVC valve and factory style spring clamps. Throttle plate clocked and ready, have to get a motorcycle brake adjustment piece. Figure if I get the little barrel to adjust the tension in the cable I can snap that plastic piece off and set the throttle cable up. I strapped all the factory wiring up nice and tight. Cutting the radiator support as well. I think it'll look a lot cleaner. Time to find those plugs!!!!

Throttle cable installed, set up and working perfectly!! Hours of filing the cable retainer so it was stepped perfect that he cable would snap in real tight. Dads scheduled to return on the 27th with my polished goodies. I have my dads best friend Billy, we call him Samurai is coming over Fri.I have been looking everywhere cutting the wires and extending them, splicing plugs is the only way possible. Samurai is the most amazing guy I have ever seen wire ANYTHING. He does meticulous wiring work on motorcycles he restores. He is going to complete all the electrical hook ups. I am waiting on dad for the valve covers so I am going to do the machine work and complete the whole project with him. It'll be nice doing it together. That's about it for now.
