    Due to an *unfortunate* accident while handling the model, I now need a new front windscreen - without a crack in it . I'm sure i'm not the first one that's run in to this problem - what are the solutions ?

    I woud recommend you replace it with sheet plastic. It is inexpensive, looks better than stock, and comforms to the shape of the frame without glue. Cut it using your stock cracked piece as the template.
