Your talent is absolutely mind-boggling. I recently sold a sealed Pocher F40 engine and transkit in the FChat collectibles section. My ego got the better of me in the original purchase and I subsequently realized that I have neither the time nor the talent to build the model as it is meant to be built.

That is brilliant. I wish I had the patience to even pull something like this off, let alone the time...

@bas Yes time is a problem but I tried to work every day at least one hour.
The main problem is the perseverance you need. From the about 300 sold I have seen very few build. Everybody starts with a lot enthusiasm...but after a few month.

@eagle65: To be honest...NO :) It was a project that lasted 1 year 4 months and 10 days. 496 days this baby was on my mind. I build a total of 648.75 hours ....and that is a very long time. But the first year I really enjoyed ! But now it is time for something less time consuming :)

I made some test pics today: 2 feet is not easy to take a good overview picture. Here are some of them

Fantastic job Ton, beautiful model. My only complaint with the Autograph transkit is the non-functional suspension, it makes that heavy model sit a little too high in my opinion. I've always used functional springs when using the Autograph transkit and it makes a world of difference. Your F40 certainly looks amazing nonetheless.

    Hi Stephane,

Thanks for your compliments. I considered another suspension but I was afraid that the model was to heavy to be carried by a working suspension. But obviously you succeeded :)

    WOW!!

    This build is staggering!
    Amazing detail.
I can only hope to have the time/skill/patience/money to build one of these in the future.
I can't afford 600 for the initial kit, much less the extra 1800 for the transkit.
    Simply astounding!

    +1

"Stunning", "awesome", "breathtaking" also come to mind - Pretty much impossible to tell from the real thing in those shots as well - Great photo job.

Now the (very minor!) comments & "criticisms".....

    - I like the "a" shots (where you took most of the color out) - Sweet.
    - 332 - Although honey shrunk the key, it still looks a little big in this pic? - Maybe the angle?
    - 350 - The tires in the air! (Sorry!)
    - You obviously decided against the "Ken & Barby" luggage - Maybe set it alongside the car?

Again, thanks for sharing and congratulations!

    Cheers,
    Ian
EDIT: Now I *really* need to clean off the bench as previously "promised" :)

Yes that is why....but they did not ask me :)

It could be the angle but also the fact that the surroundings are dark and the key fob is colored ???

The "floating" tyre got "some attention in Photoshop" but obviously not enough :)

I put the luggage on the roof :) ....... I have not decided yet Ian

But thanks for your comments and your nice words!

Well that's just friggin' rude!.... Obviously, you don't want 'em to take the pix down, but I would have thought at least an acknowledgement (and appropriate links) would be nice. Have you contacted them? I'd be interested in any communications as this is a huge issue with the web - On one hand, they're "promoting" your work, which is nice, but on the other they're using *your* pix, appropriately copyrighted, and they ignore said copyright.....

As a sometime published photographer the whole thing is just a mess - I dunno how to fix it though.....[Or even if it's possible to fix!]

    Cheers,
    Ian

They referred to the forum where they got the pictures. And as long as they don´t use it for publications or earning big bucks it is OK with me. But it is a problem for people who must earn ther money in this profession! A Watermark is the best option...but it also ruins your picture. Or..not? :)
