Are the teams still recieveing travel/transportation money for the points they score?
Good question...I'm sure that info could be found in the Concorde Agreement. I wonder if there is a leaked version of it somewhere out there? I was always under the assumption they are still rewarded as such but only because I hadn't heard anything to the contrary.
Back in my day, the top 20 from the previous 1/2 year qualified for the travel fund. It was on a scale, a top team then probably took twice as much as we did, we had to pay after a certain allowance. The cars were one item, hence we packed the insides with the heaviest spares, brakes, pads, gears etc. and they did not go against our alloted weight. today it is more even across the teams, allowance of xxx lbs, yyy personnel tickets etc. Of course we didn't have all the electronics/garage linings and crap. Just a few guys, two cars, spare engines and such, and far fewer wheels! I think there is a 'basic' allowance, then you qualify for more upon results or you pay $$$.
