Just finished putting the motor together on a 78 308 that still has 2 sets of points per dist. Any suggestions for electronic ignition? This is my first Ferrari project. Anyone ever done a hydraulic clutch?
    Thanks,
    Tom

There are a ton of threads related to replacing points on these cars with electonic ignitions between this forum and the Technical one. Run a search on "XR700" and one on "Pertronix" and you'll get lots of info on what you're up against. It's one of the universally accepted mods for these cars.

    Regards,
    ASN Don

I also have a '78 308, and I took the rear dist and put the Crane ignition in it with 2 pickup sensors. This way I get all of my spark timing and advance from the rear dist. and the front one only directs the spark on the front bank. Call Wade in the service dept at Ferrari of Atlanta I got him to set up my dist on his dist machine, I bolted it on, set the timing, and haven't messed with it sence. Tell him I sent you and he should remember how it was set up.
    Good luck
    Larry
