If you're talking about the grill itself use Protectant 2001, it'll get rid if streaks and make it look nice and black.

I use WD40 on mine it protects the metal and leaves a gloss finish.

I use ordinary black colored polish. Apply it sparingly to avoid filling the holes with polish and it shines just like the rest of the car :)

There are several great products you can use such as Meguiar's Quick Detailer, Mothers Showtime Instant Detailer, Black Magic Wet Shine Spray Detailer. For easy and consistant coverage I apply with a sponge or wax applicator and buff with a micro cloth or soft terry cotton.

It should not be a matte finish; it should be just as shiny as the rest of the car. For some reason mine was in the same predicament. Every time I tried to wash the car, soap would stick to it... I am not sure why it lost its shine; it is powder coated and supposedly more durable than the body panel's paint.

You may want to experiment with it but it becomes a pain...If it doesn't work just have the dealer paint it. Good luck!

Can't remember the last time I polished my shoes. When they get dirty I just buy some new ones. The last pair lasted me 3 years:)

Re polish; you won't be able to get it in the US but there's a chain of car accessory shops here called Halfords that sell their own brand cheap polish in some basic colours.

They do black, red , blue etc. They claim it gives a better shine because it's colour matched which is very doubtful because it's only cheap stuff but it does the job on my challenge grill

I would try some sort of quick detailer product that will not leave residue or a wax that does not dry to a white haze. Since the product is powercoated, it should be able to take wax with no issues.

  13. Use a quick detailer on a Microfiber towel, WD40 and Finish 2001 are solvent based it will streak down on the paint and attract dust and grim and other crap.

I 'm sure the finish is matt black (flat black) My 348 grill looks black anodised.

Try Black Again or Back to Black. They are made for flat back trim and give a nice satiny gloss. Both are sold in auto part stores.
