    certainly looks a lot sleeker and more modern painted.

    more '80s "old school" with big black bumpers, most cars had them in the early to mid 80s.

    I think it looks like someone is trying to pretend that his '80s car is an '00s car. It just never looks quite right. Ditto with painted mirrors, painted targa tops, painted tires... Leave the poor car alone. Or buy one in black. ;)

    If someone really doesn't care about originality, the Mondial 3.2 and t valances look decent and came in body color -- maybe those would fit the earlier cars. There's a difference between body color "bumpers" and body color "valances".

    Personally, I love the look of painted bumpers and targa tops on 308s.

    When I paint my car I'm planning on going to painted euro bumpers and painting the targa top as well.

    My only question is should I go with a nice light metallic blue or the more common bright red.

    My car is for me, so I will mod/tweak it to my tastes
