A mate and I got drunk on it once to the point of nearly having alcohol poisoning. For a week afterwards I could vomit on the mere mention of the stuff.

 

yeah bourbon/whiskey's off my list in the same way now. back in the dark days i skulled about 2/3rds of a bottle of beam one night, apart from a killer hangover consequences now are that i have a puke reaction to the smell of it. couple years ago at a party an ex-girlfriend (a bourbon girl) had her drink sitting next to my ouzo, i made a joke/statement/whatever and went to have a victory sip, picked up the wrong glass and drank her bourbon. my face went green and i spent some time fertilizing the bushes. that was my second drink of the evening.

Many women may find your avatar offensive, but certainly no redblooded male. Others may argue this is a public forum and that it is inappropriate for children to be subject to such images. Me, I don't care.
Goobers issue is with the lack of consitency in the application of the forum rules, which is something that many of your friends such as Dave, Dave, Mike and Matt have long being arguing.
You may not like the image Goober used, to make his point, but being from the US you more than anyone should appreciate his right to make it.

If your referring to the earth quake- For your information i do not watch tv news !!! i dont listen to average radio, i listen to serius radio where its all music !!!! Forgive me for not keeping up with the times. My post was number 2 on that thread and I had no idea that anything major had happened, until just now, i did a search on cnn and saw the story. I am NOT taking a stab at America, I am stating that if JL had posted that photo after the 9/11 episode there would have been hell to pay...ffs look how you lot reacted to Goobers avatar for crying out loud.

Insensitivity to other nations catastrophes is reflected poorly by some of you lot which is what makes some of AUS see as hypocracy, which it blatantly is.

In this country we believe in a "fair go" , I believe posting what JohnL did was basically insensitive and he probably didn't mean anything by it but explain THAT to the 10s of thousands of grieving people over the quake and the lack of "moderation" by the Fchat mods to this.

A quiet "that wasn't the right thing to do" in the circumstances from the mods would have gone a long way in gaining some credibility.

As it is there seems to be one rule for the USA participants and another for the rest - and I know that a lot of USA guys have been banned but the perception of hypocracy exists.

We can all have fun but you need to pick your time and place and posting a set of tits to get a laugh from the gigle brigade on a post about a catastrophe is not the time or place.
