I live in Southern California and I wonder about the rioting up in LA but I think this is a good chance to show that good people aren't afraid of minority extremists. I think some preparation of gas and rubber bullets should knock this possibility out in the first hour. Bratton, are you listening? Tookie Williams was tried and convicted and the evidence was overwhelming. Not once has he admitted to his crimes or even offered an apology to the families. Gangs have become such a large part of mainstream society, even in the most remote midwest locations across this country. Let's show all of the people that subscribe to this activity exactly what they have to look forward to... Smoke him!

    Well put.

I have to laugh at all the people who say "look how much he's done to keep kids away from gangs!" Um, HELLO! Half the gangs out there are HIS creation! If he wanted to keep kids away from gangs, he shouldn't have created the Crips in the first place!

Cruel and unusual punishment should be brought back. My favorite: a thousand papercuts and then a nice warm bath in vinegar and chinchilla piss...

Agreed. "...only in California..." has been a message this State has sent to the rest of the Union for far too long.
Thank God/ (or, insert your own favorite holy diety) I live at its geographic extremity.

I voted to send him to his creator. He has a lot of explaining to do and I'm certain he will get more than what he has experienced behind bars for 30 + years.

I'm glad the guy has done something positive while in Jail . After all, me and all of you other Californian's paid for it.

His good work though is not a new leash on lilfe. Unfortunately, I believe he will be checking out of this glorious world he F- up'd.

Niether. It's push the syringe. A nice, mellow way to die. You just 'go to sleep'. You can give the thanks for this one to all the whacko's out their that think an electric chair or the gas chamber is C&U punishment. The hell with them I say!

I voted to fry him! He's done more bad for this world than good, and can never undo his wrongdoings to his fellow man. I hope the governator makes the right choice...

I think Schwarzie will make the right decision and have the lever thrown.

Then in the midst of a riot which erupts, he will reveal himself as actually being a T-1000 series Terminator and will control the chaos singlehandedly, with devastating effectiveness!

In the aftermath, the people of CA will revere and honor him with unanimous re-election to the next 12 governorship cycles. And criminals are publicly executed as part of the inaugural festivities.

Here is the latest from the AP:

"The state's high court ruled 6-0 against staying the execution, saying Williams' last-minute appeal lacked merit and was untimely. Deputy Attorney General Lisa Brault had implored the justices early Sunday to dismiss his petition, writing that it "is without merit and is manifestly designed for delay.""

    Now it's up to Arnold.

Dec. 13th is "D-Day" (or BBQ-day) right? Do they have a time? Is it at midnight tonight or does it happen at some point tomorrow?

Arnold has an EASY out on this one. The "Save dookie" (err, I mean Tookie) sites are making it sound like Arnold has to make a yes/no decision. No, he does not - all he needs to do is do nothing, and Tookie fries! Then he can fab up some feel-good statement that says he has full confidence in the judicial system and that he doesn't feel its appropriate for publically elected officials to meddle in the judicial due process and how as an immigrant, the laws of the land are what make America great and on and on. While Ahnolds rambling, a few CC's of lights-out are flowing into that rat bastard criminals veins and he will go ROT IN HELL for what he did.
