My Opinion: One thing the participants would have for sure estimated, how about Polo Storico providing a copy of their cars build sheet as a special gift for the participation on this very first Event. I think every owner would have been very pleased to get this Information.

The car was in the 2013 Lamborghini 50th Giro Anniversary. You'll find tons of pics and vids of it on the net if you use those search terms. The owner is a great guy!

Now I'm back in the UK, I thought it might be worth scribbling some initial thoughts on how this event turned out this weekend.

Firstly, I think it's fantastic Lamborghini are now organising and hosting an event like this. They obviously have the budget to do it 'properly' and were focussed on creating an event for classic Lamborghini owners and enthusiasts to enjoy and help spread the word on their new classic division, Polo Storico.

But while there were a good variety of Lamborghini models on show over the weekend, I was surprised there weren't way more Lamborghini owners there from around the world exhibiting their cars. For example, considering there were twelve (or was it thirteen?) Miuras entered intro the Concorso, it was almost shameful there were only five Countach in total present this weekend. Seeing how this is an International event, supported by an enthusiastic manufacture, I would have expected way more Countach to be on display than Miuras but that turned out not to be the case.

I know I hesitated entering my Countach QV initially when I saw it was being held in Switzerland, as while I love the Swiss scenery and people, I've never found it the most friendly place to go drive supercars around in, it also has little historic Lamborghini connections, hence why I was more than a little surprised by the choice of venue. Maybe that had something to do with the lower than expected number of entries, who knows?

The drive organised for the Saturday proved to be a slow procession, with police officials and outriders in strict control, which wasn't totally unexpected and helped reinforce the idea that perhaps Switzerland isn't the best place for Lamborghini driving events! But that was the only downside of the whole weekend, the hotel was good, catering was excellent, judging was fair and knowledgable and the hosting of entrants throughout the weekend was excellent. I also made some great new contacts over the three days and it was fantastic to finally meet in person some of the stars of Lamborghini Ferrarichat there too, including Olivier, Raymond and Ed.

I really hope Lamborghini manage to get at least double the number of entrants for next year's event and having attended both the Lamborghini 50th and now this Concorso d'Eleganza, I reckon Lamborghini do a great job of hosting these big events but hope the 2018 Concorso is held either at the Lamborghini factory (or close by) as Italy is where this event really deserves to be.. You are right, for the 1st time factory organisation, it was a real success.

I reach your comment about Switzerland selection, but the cultural aspect was interesting even if there was no link with Lamborghini history...

Does it mean that all the future events must be hold in Italy, I don't think so... let's see how factory will combine culture, interest and future events !

Actually, there could have been a link!
Indeed Georges-Henri Rossetti was a citizen of Neuchâtel! I told that to the mayor of Neuchâtel who didn't know it, and I think not a lot of people at Lamborghini knew it. But I guess this it isn't a part of history that people would want to advertise.
