I had an English Bulldog that got his ass kicked by a standard poodle.

Can you imagine how embarrassing that was?

I used to have a miniature poodle that was the meanest little dog you ever met. She bit just about everyone in our neighborhood at least once and had chronic diarrhea.

Hey, a standard poodle is a large dog that doesn't know anything about being a sissy. This dog is embarrassed to need a cut because it’s hair keeps growing. Big rambunctious dog w/ smarts.

I used to make fun of poodles when I was immature (ok, less immature) and didn't know what I was talking about. Then, I came home from a trip 7 years ago to find two new little dogs at home, one of them a toy poodle. She weighed 2 lbs and she and I took to each other immediately. She is now 7 lbs and we are together most of every day.
We have 3 larger male dogs in the family and she is the alpha dog. When they get fed she eats first and they wait. If any of them gets a new toy, she takes it if she wants to play with it and they let her. If she gets annoyed with any of them she lets them know they need to leave and they do. She is the smartest animal I have ever seen. It's pretty unbelievable the things she does and the words she understands.
    Anyway, poodles are great.
