When I had my last 308, I dropped a dual-inlet Flowmaster to a single tip from the main header pipe out (took out the mufler and resonator). It sounded awesome. I did go a bit overboard and had $650 worth of custom pipe work done to make it look super clean.

Just for fun, seeing if anyone has put a flowmaster on their 348 like I did with my old 308.

I have looked into that but they don't offer a dual in dual out muffler. I talked to one muffler shop and they said that Magnaflow was a better choice. They also said that they could make a dual exhaust set up, using to separate mufflers. My only problem was that they didn't have the capability to do mandrel bends, so I haven't done it yet.

No, I stated that the FM unit I bought was a dual inlet to a single tip.

    Yeah I got that Pete.

I asked the guy if they sold a dual in dual out, and he told me that they didn't make them. So that is why I was thinking of doing two sparate mufflers.

How about a T-Pipe from the single outlet? Would that be too constrictive? If it is, it would probably produce a cool sound in (like) third gear when you back off the gas pedal!

Yeah it think so. We need either a 2 in 2 out, or true dual exhausts.

Guys, I HAVE a Flowmaster on the car (348) I just bought. The car is pristine and gives ZERO indication that the owner would have done anything on the cheap. I mean EVERYTHING done at the dealerships, MINT condition car inside and out that I could seriously show........... The guy and his family have more money than 10 of me. No joke. So it is as if he had a serious reason for doing this......

And then he put a Flowmaster on. I have to admit I am impressed. However, it may be that the 348 is just that much wilder sounding than my old car no matter if it had a Capristo or a Sears-brand exhaust........

    Who knows??

But if you want to hear it Peter, let me know. I am in San Jose.........
