Just went to the Valentine detectors's website, and am wondering if "POP" upgrades for the V1 is necessary for the Pacific NW, more specifically, the greater Seattle area.

"POP" is suppose to be a type of "instant on" radar unit that is so fast (0.067sec) that the detector will not be able to react to the signals it sends out. However, according to the site, there are fundamental flaws within the unit, as the 0.067sec. does not allow it enough time to be accurate at the same time (Laws of Physics can not be changed).

Anyway, for those of you that may know someone who works in the law enforcement sector may know if they are using these "POP" units here in Washington area.

It's interesting that Mike (V1) for the longest time has said that POP protection wasn't necessary, and now they finally come out with one. I don't know if we need it here around the NW, but I'm getting mine upgraded just as well! - Tim

A good traffic lawyer should be able to shred that one into the ground.

My V1 came with POP already installed. Don't know if it will save my bacon or not.
