    i just got a jar of ''popcorn suttons'' xxx moonshine for my b-day[yes it was last week],this is store bought in tenn,my question is what is the proper way of drinking it,
    1.straight
    2.over the rocks
    3.splash of mountain dew
    4.splash of water

    and is it real moonshine or just vodka/everclear?

    popcorn was a old timey bootlegger recently featured on tv.
    sadly, the feds were closing in on him and he went off into the woods and checked out.

    correct,i knew the story and saw the show,that why somebody gave me this jar,because i talked to them about the show

    for authenticity, I vote #1.

    If it came in a mason jar, it is a bugger to pour, but sipping out of the jar seems acceptably appropriate.

    I have never seen ice at a bootleggers still site and I doubt they would cut their product with water or anything else.

    I have had CatDaddy and Jr. Johnsons Apple Pie moon. Both are from http://www.piedmontdistillers.com/ They have some drink recipes there.

    If it comes from a store, you're missing out on on the best part of the experience.

    Straight up, and directly from the mason jar is the real way to drink it!
