Hi all, My 2007 599 F1 transmission is popping out of first. It happens when I'm moving very slow...stopping and starting when I put it on my lift. I know my clutch is about finished...80% used. Do you think that's it? I supposed I need to take it in, but I was wondering what y'all thought. Thanks!
80% is more than most get .. and yes it def can be the root cause of the issue It can also be a number of pressure related issues give us some timings of how long pump stays off and on with key on (only) and key on / engine on
Wow ! [emoji18][emoji18]. Thank you It gives me great pleasure to help whenever I can Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Thanks Flash32. I hear the pump for 3-4 seconds I would guess before I start. I can't hear anything after...but that could be me. I'll take it in and have them do a diagnosis, and I'll replace the clutch if needed. I've noticed no slipping until this issue.
I can put it right back into gear and it's fine...until it pops out again. I read somewhere that turning the ignition on, then tapping the accelerator twice, then starting it resets it. I did that and just drove it. I tried going up some hills from a stop...and it was fine. I actually don't believe in things like that unless someone on this forum says it works. Regardless, I'm taking it in for a new clutch. I'm planning on some trips and don't want to have problems on the road. I hate changing the clutch when there's about 20% left...I like to use things up. But, I can't have problems on the road. I'll let y'all know what they say when I bring it in. Thank you all!
She is not popping out of gear, she is selecting neutral because something is wrong with the F1 system/clutch.
