Popular Mechanics Online

106 years of Popular Mechanics magazine are online now for free. I've just started to look but pretty interesting. Looked at what was going on the month I was born. The articles are interesting (A preview of the 62 Corvette). But also the ads: "Remember how great cigarettes used to taste? Luckies still do." Two guys hanging out at the horse race track, looking over the race form. Not a care in the world. Smokin their cigarettes. There's a guy in the background, looked like he just lost his paycheck.

Looked at a 1929 version: "Tests show that filter reduces oil changes." "If automobiles are equipped with oil filters, frequent changes of the oil in the crankcase are unnecessary..." This was on page 1043! It looked like there were hundreds of pages of ads.
