    Very true. Part of the problem is that most older 911s hold value and in some cases (long hood early 911s for example) are seriously collectible. Boxsters don’t have that history. An early Boxster is a relatively cheap car, and that’s a difficult origin to shed.

    The other part of the problem is, as you say, the fact that $75k gets you into a new Boxster that to most people looks similar to the Spyder versions.
