http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/magazine/3900.asp?id=15621 I think the coolness factor on these is rising, although the asking price here is risible. These don't have half the charisma of the 246, but I think they're now departing the cheap section of the vintage Porsche showroom.
In terms of driving experience, I actually prefer the 914-6 over the early 911s. In my race car wish list is a 914-6 GT. The asking price for this product 914-6 is a high watermark; let's see if it sticks.
They've always been cool. I've never driven one on the road but have been fortunate to turn a fair amount laps in a couple of 914-6 track cars at owned by a guy from Poway at Willow Springs. I'd also rather have one over an early 911 for track duty/canyon carving. Of course, the 914 isn't aesthetically in the same galaxy as the Dino. The seller must be out his tree to list it for what he did. Perhaps it comes with use of a fetching fraulein for a few months? Well the 914-6 at Cannillo is long gone - that's past inventory and he's more or less moved on to another biz...
914's in general are on the rise. I loved mine . So much so I couldn't sell it so still have its rusted out hulk sitting in a barn. 914-6's were always the cream.
