    The engine trunk lid on my 87 930s is jammed tight.....(I assume the it was slightly out of alignment). Tried to pull the cable (the black T level) clockwise while a second person wiggled the lid to no avail.

    Has this happened to anyone and how do you get access to it from the outside? We had the car on the lift to look for access underneath but b/w the exhaust and the turbo, it's TIGHT. Can someone help? Thanks.

    The Porsche 930 is one of my top 3 cars of all time.....

    Hopefully you'll get it open and post your ordeal/solution on those boards...

    You have to put it on a hoist and remove the muffler to get at the latch. This happened to me before.

    the lock mechanism on that car is the same as VW it has a catch that slides from the passenger side if i am not mistaken. Try having someone push the lid to the driver side and lift whilst someone is pulling the T release. If this doesn't work try the other direction asI am not totally sure of the orientation of the lock. Good luck.
