i know that auto test numbers can vary significanly with the conditions, the testers, the driver, the car, etc.....but car and driver tested the 997 vs the c6 last month got 0-60 in 4.3 and 1/4 mile in 12.8seconds in the 997...this car weights over 3200lbs and has 321hp and less than 280ft-lbs of torque....now if this was the 997 s with 350hp, then it would be possible...but this is too fast for this car!!!! porsche claims 0-60 in 4.8 in the 997, which makes sense....

Which magazine was it tested in? It does sound a bit fast.

Road and Track got 4.2 for the 0-60 and 12.6 in the 1/4 for the 997S. I kinda doubt that the normal 997 is doing 4.3...

Car and Driver's numbers are downright silly, look at the 3.5s 0-60 on the 430.

Let's not forget the famous 3.5 sec to 60 of the SL600 as well.

After playing around with the numbers enough by adjusting for temp/humidity/etc, I am sure they can make it possible. :p
