Has anyone else seen the commercials that Porsche is running? It seems like every minute, I see an add on tv for 1.9% financing on new cars. Are times that bad? Can anyone else remember Porsche ever embarking on such a campaign?

both of the Porsche dealers here in STL still have new '08s in stock (with 2010's probably on the boat heading to America), offered at VERY steep discounts and/or low finance rates.

for example, a (new!) 2008 Cayman S with a tiptronic is being offered at around $15k off MSRP.

You ever see the small print.... 1.9% (plus $17.48 monthly payment per $1,000 financed)

I wouldn't have noticed, but I recently had a credit card offer worded the same way, and realized that 1.9% plus a monthly fee is not 1.9% :(

I am so sick of Marketing tricks!

No Mark, I think that means 1.9% for 48 or 60 months means $17.48 per month, per $1,000 financed. For example, a $50,000 car would cost $874.xx. (17.48*50)
