Almost looks Italian if you ask me, from the sides. Look HOT though. Enjoy . Still not feeling the center exhaust, but the double tip center looks better than the single tip of the Boxster (still doesn't look quite like a dual dual tips would.) This little baby is 4 seconds faster than the base 911 Carrera in Nurburgring! Great handling, great balance, great corner speeds. Truly a Porsche. BTW, is that Meridian Metallic?
Yeah.....me too....don't like the gills or the two eyeballs in the lower air intakes on the front bumper cover. GREAT car otherwise.........to me the "S" kinda makes the 911 a redundant car IMHO.
Front looks good (although i agree that the foglights are a bit much - but without them it would look 996TT-like). I've said it before, and will continue to say it: that car needs a whaletail! Or at the least a ducktail.
I just creamed myself! Wowzers, i knew it would look much better in real pictures, now that car is HOTT!
Judging from the license plate/s most probably it's somewhere in Germany. Gorgeous offering from Porsche BTW.
Front = hot yes, midsection and rear - ugly In the new motor trend they sort of half review the car almost. Its like a sneak preview. They have all these pictures and stuff. They say it should handle better than an 911
If I was to guess, I would imagine that the Carrera is going to move more towards a grand touring role, much as it has the last few generations. I believe the Cayman will evolve into being the "pure" sports car. I'm sure porsche will continue to develop and race the Carrera, but its obvious that the chassis of the cayman is a much better platform for a sports car.
Good lord that is one ugly frog-like car. And if it suffers from the standard porsche interior (to be fair, i haven't spent any time in a 997) - yikes! It does bring an interesting question - if it gets decent power and has the same / better handling of the boxster, why would anyone buy a carrera 2, etc. seems to me that they should stick only to the GT2/turbo/GT3 with that model. --Dan
