That's rediculous.

 

Well, I thought it was too, but then thought about it this way:

9 Australian deliveries.

A 2.4 S is worth around half a RS2.7. So at $660,000 that's about right. I've seen the car, it's very, very nice.

A scruffy 911 E 2.4 is worth $327,010 including commission apparently, and it wasn't even an Australian car:

And an "E" is typically around 70% of an "S" So had that Shannon's car been in the same condition, and Australian delivered, it might have made another $150,000 or so.

I don't think I'll ever get my head around today's asking prices for OHOS cars.

I'd drive away in a $600K Dino and 15 minutes later, when my accelerator foot and back are aching, while being overtaken by Camry taxis, I'd think WTF did I do that for?

 

It's hard to see value in the 911 S and the Dino 246 at that level. Especially when you can buy a 365 or 512 BB for less.

Funny about the comfort, if I need to do a long trip, I find any excuse to take the 308. It's the most comfortable long distance car I have.

 

WRXMIKE says the same thing .... personally I enjoy the harsh ride the challenge gives me ............... NOT !!
