Over the years I've spotted quite a few competition Porsches in historic events. Recently I tried to indentify them so I can categorize my pictures according to the chassis numbers.

I thought it would be nice to share my pictures with you all.

The chassis numbers were all taken from the internet so far. So if there are any cars incorrectly identified I'd be happy to hear. The chassis numbers and event data are in the file names of the pictures.

I'll start with the group of 906-907-908-910 cars. Hope you like them!

    Best, Peter

Wow! Great thread! Looking at the photos in the first post, it amazes me how short the wheelbase was in some of the early cars (cars 41 and 97, for example). They had to be a handful to top speed.

By the way the first 911 pictured is one of the rarest 911 competition cars, a 911 SC RS. Only 20 ever made. This one's special to me as when I was about 11 years old my brother used to take me to rallies in Belgium and we followed this 911 on a public road to the next stage. The sound was something I will always remember!
