I think it would take an iron will not to end up on the track once you hear the engine scream and tires squeal.....:)

I'm in Belair and would be very intrested in bringing my car to this event.
What is required for an event like this? I've never driven in an autoX.
Will it require helmets, fire suit etc.?
Any info would be helpful to a newbie!
    Thanks!
    Will

Will- I drove my first Auto-x the other weekend and now I'm hooked!!! Its like crack but more expensive. j/k. All you need to do is show up with your car and be ready to race! They provide helmets if you don't have one and instruction. I had an instructor ride along with me for the morning practice and then for one of my timed runs. You learn sooooo much about the limits of your car its amazing. Hope to see you there!

Looks like I'll miss it too (even though I'm not an F or P car owner). I'll be in Hawaii then, where there is no decent racing at all. Worst of all there isn't any Ferrari events there.

    Hey Steve,
If my 328 is back from the shop I'll be there with it. If not I'll probably bring the 308. Pretty much confirmed a boxter, a 944 turbo s, and another 944. Still working on the yellow 328.

Its official! We will be holding the Porsche/Ferrari challenge on
Saturday, May 15th at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen MD. Registration begins
at 7:45 for the autocross portion of the event and costs $30. The only piece
of safety equipment reguired to run is a helmet (loaner helmets will be
    provided).

Never autocrossed before? Don't sweat it! There will be plenty of
expirienced drivers wililng to give you some helpfull hints and also ride
along with you on your runs. Even if you don't plan on autocrossing, come
out and support your favorite make and take part in the post autocross
rally through northern Baltimore County on our way to an early dinner at the
Manor Tavern where prizes will be given away for the fastest times of the day
    (FTD).

f you have any questions, and to RSVP please send an email to
[email protected] or [email protected] Hope to see you there!

So far we have only a few Ferrari's that want to autocross but alot of F-cars that want to watch. That is awesome but you should really thing about giving the auto-x a try. You will definately learn alot about your cars handling characteristics and gain some safe expirience really pushing yourself and your car.

Again, all are welcome to auto-x and to watch and then rally and dine with us, even if you don't drive a porsche or ferrari bring your car out and have a blast with us!
