Today we had the pleasure of meeting Roel and his family on a terrace in the beautiful hills of Limburg. It was great to finally have the chance to see his new Mondial "live". Great car! Great family! We really enjoyed ourselves. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

..- what is the usual line in that kind of circumstances ? ... ah, here we are : Nice Mondial, but what is the brand of the black car nearby ? ... ok, just kidding, I actually love Audis too.
Great pix guys, nice to see you had a great time...BUT.. call me an Original, but is it legal in Belgium to drive under the influence (not sure if I hit the right word here) alcohol?? I just wonder, cause IF any of you are coming to Norway sometime, then we must trade those glasses with Coca Cola or something, one single drop of alcohol up here, then they take your drivers lisence from 6 months and upto 2 years.....and a fine which are not of this world. You get a 900 fine if you drive on a red light. But, again - it was great to see you on the road again Roel and Ton!
Nice pics! Thanks for sharing! Looks like a nice afternoon... evening... Was this such a small meet like; "hey, let's park the cars and have a drink on that nice terrace there", then, when the first glass is empty... "what about another one? It's nice out here", then, after that... "hey, it's sunday, we've got time, another one?" then... "C'mon, one last for the road" then... "we could have another one while we're waiting on the bill... hey, it's getting dark already..." You know... having a nice conversation in a good atmosphere and almost forgetting about the time... Really nice to see those two sportscars next to each other... both great examples of automotive art, but both oh so different in many ways... coming from different era's with a completely different style aso... but both unique in their own way...
Maybe their wifes drove them home? LOL Of course it's illegal to drive under influence here too, but you are allowed to drink one glass or something... It's not that strict as in Scandinavia yet... although the fines can become very high here too... in this case, a good thing IMO...
Ton, Roel, wonderful pics from a sunny afternoon drive Thanks for sharing with us. Hope to CU soon both on the road here in Germany?!
Thanks Ton, Veerle & Casper for the wonderfull afternoon. It was very nice meet to meet you and your lovely family. It was great fun. Here are a few pics of mine but they aren't much different as Ton's. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pal, we know our responsibillities......don't worry. In holland you are allowed to drink 2 beers when you drive. I never drink more when I have to drive.
She did. I drove the first part and then we changed seats. It was for her the first time driving in the Mondial. And guess............................................................................................she liked it!!!!!
I discussed this yessterday with Roel. 512TR, 456, 360, 355 spider, 348 spider? I would really love the 360 spider but that one is just out of my budget.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful "family meeting pictures" with all of us It really seems you guys had a nice time together with your wifes and kids! I wish it would soon be summer, and time for us to meet some of you guys too!!!
When I was growing up in South Africa it was the other way around. I think it was obligatory to travel under the influence, with a case of beer on the back seat while drinking at the wheel. But I suspect things have changed a little since then. So, they call this "progress"? Later, MARK
The Czech Republic was also "Zero Tolerance". In the home of Lager/Pilsner, you cannot have a single drink before driving. MARK
Nothing changed much then Mark. This was driving in SA 4 weeks ago. A 30 year old Merc 200D, a packet of Marlboro and a cold Windhoek Image Unavailable, Please Login
