That's a beautiful 944 Stephane!
Thank you so much. It took a lot of work (and money ) but it was worth it to me, being a one owner car.
Car looks great! I'm a big fan of 944s (owned one for nearly 20 years). Its rare to see them in nice condition. Not sure if it just isn't visible in the photo, or if you forgot to add it, or if you chose not to add it, but there is a decal set that appears to be missing, that goes on the thin piece between the rear bumper and the tail lights (it says Porsche). Here is a link to the decal that I mentioned (no affiliation) 1986 PORSCHE 944 O.E.M. 12475365-477853635B Emblem Anyway, congrats and its nice to see a 944 in beautiful condition!

Thanks! Yes, I didn't really want that decal back on the car, I love the way it looks like that, clean looking.
Love the color! I am curious why you went through that much effort for a base model and not a turbo or S2. Was there sentimental value with the car?
Mainly because I just bought it from the original owner. He had bought it new, I still have the bill of sale and window sticker. The guy was in the military, and when he passed, his daughter put it up for sale. I thought it deserved it. I wanted a turbo but this one was hard to resist, not often you see a one owner 30 year old car like that for sale. I intend to keep it a long time, hence the huge investment.
No, my friend's Testarossa is almost 7 inches wider and 4 inches longer than my Cayman. However, the Cayman is almost 6 inches taller, and has a bit less ground clearance.
I was able to negotiate the purchase of this project from a great guy that put a lot of work into it and then decided that he was going to retire to the Gold country in a few months and needed to pass his project on. 1970 914 chassis, steel flares, 2.7L motor mated to 915 tranny w/vellios, 86 930 front end, Fuchs, brembos. Lots to be sorted out. Plus boxes of parts. Image Unavailable, Please Login
