new track car, complete with silly wing, squeaky brake pads, and scaffolding in the back seat. It's a 1999 996 C2 for anyone who's wondering. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
it has 65k miles right now, so theoretically any problems should have shown up by now; but I'm going to do the RMS/IMS/AOS, new clutch, fluids, maybe flywheel just to be safe given what I'm going to do with it (and what's already been done to it!)
thanks Casey! and thanks for your help on the car in NashVegas, even if it didn't work out you guys buy a Cayenne yet?
Nice buy Chas! Guards red? I saw a white 996 GT3 driving in the snow today. Whoever it was has balls of steel.
oddly enough, no suspension mods...but I'll take care of that rotors/calipers are stock, but it does have SS brake lines and Pagid yellow pads.
Anytime, glad you found what you were looking for! Nope, no Cayenne yet. Ended up with an '07 CPO Yukon Denali 6.2. Honestly, with me going off to college in the next year, my dad won't be traveling so much and won't need a big car much longer. He'll probably keep this a year or two and then get a Boxster or something for around town. is right...
I would loved to test a 996 GT3 in snow. In fact, I am hoping to buy a Mk1 pre-facelift later on and you bet I will try it winter time. Accidental 360s must be fun!
