    Yesterday I came upon a car which looked like an original Speedster cabriolet (silver, left hand drive, new Qld rego) BUT it had quad exhaust tips? I'm thinking somekind of reproduction thing - couldn't actually hear it?

    Those prices are ridiculous, I know a bloke who just landed one from the US for 40K.

    Car is a bit scary underneath, the beetle platform is quite a bit shorter than a real 356, so they've welded extensions on front and rear. Would collapse in an accident. Driving experience would be only slightly better than a beetle, but then again that applies to a real 356 too :)

    If you're going to do this, surely a 550 Spyder replica with Subaru engine would be a better bet?
